If you choose to study Chinese in Shanghai, you’ll be learning the language in China’s largest city, a city full of history and culture. Shanghai is also a young and vibrant city, known for its cosmopolitan outlook and fast pace of life. The Shanghainese love to celebrate, so as a student in Shanghai, you might find yourself joining the dragon and lion dances at the Spring Festival, or sampling the local beer at the city’s Beer Festival in July! If you want to see the very latest trends and fashions during your Chinese course in Shanghai, look no further than Nanjing Lu, China’s number one shopping street. | A Shared Apartment |
Our Chinese school is located right in the heart of downtown Shanghai in a comfortable, air-conditioned building. There are 10 spacious classrooms, as well as a school garden, where you can relax with fellow students and practise the Chinese you have learnt in class. Our Chinese school in Shanghai has free Internet access and wireless Internet hot zones. You can choose from a range of Mandarin Chinese courses, including our Standard Course (20 lessons/week) and our Combined Courses, a combination of the Standard Course and 4, 8 or 10 private lessons/week. The maximum class size is just 8 students, and the teachers are all fully qualified, native Chinese Mandarin speakers.
Our Chinese school in Shanghai offers two types of accommodation; shared apartments or guest house accommodation. If you choose to stay in a shared apartment during your Chinese course, you’ll have a private, air-conditioned room and share a bathroom and kitchen with fellow students from our school. Our shared apartments are just 15 minutes’ walk from the school, and Internet access is available.

Alternatively, if you’d like a private bathroom, you can stay in a single or twin ensuite room in our hostel accommodation, also just 15 minutes’ walk from the school. Although there are no cooking facilities at the hostel, there are many reasonably priced restaurants and cafés nearby, perfect for sampling Shanghai’s famous and flamboyant cuisine!
As a student at our school in Shanghai, you’ll have at least one activity a week included in the price of your course. You can also choose from a range of optional activities, such as a two-day trip to the beautiful cities of Yangzhou and Hangzhou.
Shanghai has excellent transport connections, making it easy to arrive by train, boat or plane. Shanghai has two airports, Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao Domestic Airport. We can arrange an airport transfer for you, if required. Please contact us for details.
